Punta Cana, in the Dominican Republic, is recognised as having some of the best beaches in the world. With that kind of accolade, you quickly conjure up images of paradise. Images of powder soft sand greeting your toes as you walk along the endless stretches of pristine beach, lined with palm trees and the crystal clear Caribbean ocean lapping the shore. In reality, it did not disappoint, here are a few snaps from our week in paradise – Punta Cana.
Yellow cabs, Time Square, Fifth Avenue, the Empire State Building are all synonymous with the city that never sleeps – New York City – that one place everyone has on their bucket list. (more…)
Looks like Wiarton Willie was right, we were not blessed with an early spring. This past Tuesday evening (1 March), Toronto received its biggest snowfall of the season. Wednesday morning, I was up at sunrise (for those of you that don’t know me, this is completely normal on a snowy day) to finally get some photos of my city dusted in white.
A photo story of Toronto in winter, before the snowploughs cleared all the roads and the salt turns the sidewalks grey and sludgy.
Since being in Toronto, with every step we have taken, and every corner we’ve turned, we have been left in awe; by the beauty of the city, the contrast of the old and new, the overwhelming expanse of glass skyscrapers and stepping onto the Toronto Islands this past weekend was no different.
We took advantage of the glorious sunny, blue skies (yes, the sun does shine in Canada) and went on a short ferry ride across the lake to what is essentially a giant park.
